Is this the official TBAS?
No. TBAS Test Prep is an independent practice platform. We are not affiliated with the U.S. Air Force, AFRS, or the AFOQT/TBAS program offices. Our games simulate subtest mechanics for training purposes.
Do I need to install anything?
No install is required. All games run in a modern web browser. For tracking subtests, we strongly recommend connecting a joystick or gamepad before you begin.
Which browser should I use?
Chrome or Edge on Windows, macOS, or Linux provide the best Gamepad API support. Firefox is also supported. Safari users may experience limited joystick functionality.
How accurate are the game timings?
Timing constants, speed ramps, penalty windows, and scoring weights are calibrated to official TBAS subtest parameters. You can inspect any game's live config when you train.
Can I practice on a laptop without a joystick?
Yes — keyboard controls are available for every subtest. However, the official TBAS uses a joystick, so we recommend purchasing a basic HOTAS early in your preparation.
How does TBAS affect my PCSM score?
TBAS results are one component of your Pilot Candidate Selection Method (PCSM) score alongside AFOQT pilot scores and flight hours. See our PCSM guide for a detailed breakdown.
Will my scores be saved?
Yes. With an account and active subscription, every practice session is saved. View readiness scores, streaks, per-game history, and export CSV reports from your progress dashboard.
How is this different from older TBAS trainers?
This platform runs entirely in the browser with a modern responsive design, full account progress tracking, difficulty presets, and prep tools (controller wizard, audio check, study plans). Game logic and timing stay exam-realistic — the experience is faster to start and easier to train with every day.
What is included with a subscription?
All ten practice modules, beginner/standard/exam difficulty, readiness dashboard, session history, study plan tools, controller setup, and gift subscriptions for another candidate when you choose.
